Mississippi - Part Ten - Natchez

Iconic Natchez, Mississippi?
This is Dunleith, a historic plantation and bed and breakfast inn.
We stayed one night here.

Huge trees in pretty parks.

Tall monuments in pretty parks.

And, of course, the river with a barge.
Those bridges lead to Vidalia, Louisiana.

Taken from Vidalia.
Natchez sets high above the Mississippi River (as does Vicksburg).
The large red building with lots of windows is The Grand Hotel and just below the hotel you can see the huge walls that are built along the banks.

Later.

What a gorgeous spot! So far away from where I am but definitely worth a visit if I ever find myself in that part of the country. Your photos are beautiful! Thanks for visiting mine.

Beautiful photos! We've driven through MS but never taken time to stop and see the sights. I'd love to see one of the old plantations and tour the home. My hubby is one of those who wants to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible and no stopping in between! :D

Did you like the B&B? We have talked about them but never have stayed at one.
