Windsor Ruins, near Port Gibson / Alcorn, Mississippi, U. S. A.
What an awesome experience to stand next to these huge pillars and imagine what it must have been like to live in a home such as this. The home survived the Civil War by being occupied by the Union Army, just to burn down in 1890 from a carelessly thrown cigarette.
The sky was disappointing the day we were there, but the websites below have some better shots.
We took a short trip to Vicksburg and Natchez, Mississippi in December. The Old Courthouse Museum in Vicksburg has a lot of history and memorabilia. Visit if you can.
Barn lovers, I'm going to skip The Barn Collective this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. I know everyone will be busy and I am two weeks behind on visiting your entries.
It will return the Sunday night following Thanksgiving.
