Jeepers

Powder Mill Hill
Near Lawrenceburg, Tennessee

I went back this weekend, but was not inspired by much.  It was mid-day and the sun made everything unattractive.  And, you know sometimes places and things (and people) seem all great and wonderful the first time . . . then you take a second look . . .

Anyway, I saw this cool Jeep.
Reckon those are bullet holes in the back window ?

I know some wonder how these old rusty things could be considered a top shot, but I'm still

American

Powder Mill Hill
Somewhere between Lawrenceburg and Pulaski, Tennessee

So many times there is something in a photo that I wish I had looked at more closely at the time of the shot.
What is that pink thing on the left side of the porch?
This place is photo opp rich and only about thirty minutes from home and I had planned to go back anyway.
When it is cooler.  Much cooler.
Hey, the forecast shows ten degrees cooler next week.  Only 97!

Update:  Everyone is asking so many questions about this place . . .
There are three or four buildings with cool junk.  American Picker worthy junk.
I don't think they live there, but I'm sure nearby.  The owner said he and his dad had another business there from the 70s and it just grew into this.

Yes, this building is built over a creek.
There is a path along the creek from the back of the main store along the creek to this building.

It's just cool.

If you use my Label for Powder Mill Hill you can see a few other shots I've already posted.
I'll have a few more shots to post here and there from this visit.
Then, of course, when I go back . . .
