These flowers were glowing at me from the field next to the house at dusk one October evening.

Red, white and blue . . .
I wonder . . . is it wrong, strange, ironic, or in any way remarkable to use English transfer-ware
in U. S. Independence Day themes? Just saying . . .

Queen Anne would be proud
Took the camera out under a dark cloud the other night as there was no breeze to take some photos of the wildflowers in the uncut field. Little did I know there was a tornado warning. Soon there was blowing rain and high winds. ( I did go inside before that happened. ) Luckily, we had no damage. Unfortunately, there were power outages and some damage for others in our county and neighboring counties.

Hey, Brian King.
I'm going to do this as well as you one of these days.

White and blue
Colbert County Courthouse, Tuscumbia, Alabama, U. S. A.
The beautiful building and skies get most of the credit here, but I have to put in a plug for the iPhone5 again.
While I don't have plans to visit each county courthouse in Alabama, I do like the old ones. If you do like seeing courthouses and the architecture please visit my friend,
She has a goal of capturing all the historic courthouses in Texas.

Pelicans
This year there have been white pelicans in our waters.
I understand that this is somewhat of a rarity for our area here in northwest Alabama.
I captured these from the golf course which is on a creek from the Tennessee River.

I do not have a good wildlife lens so bear with me here.
This last shot is from the Elk River, also just a few miles away from my home.
