Christmas to Color

A brand new coloring book for myself.
Will I actually use the colored pencils I also bought and fill up the pages?
Doubt it.  But it does look good on my coffee table.
And made a pretty picture, too.

Blazing

Gorgeous.
So, I thought the sunflowers I planted this year were going to be my flower obsession for the year.
However, they have been upstaged.
I bought a pot of these flowers at Lowe's the other day and can't stop looking at them.  They are so bright that I was tempted to dial down the orange saturation a little.  There is a Black Eyed Susan thrown in there too.

Sunflowers

I planted sunflowers this year.  Some of them are red and orange.
All of them are gorgeous.

I have been sporadic with the blog the past few weeks.  Just as my husband finished more chemo for the cancer that spread, my elderly mother fell and fractured her pelvis.  He is feeling much better and the hope is that he can have a substantial break before more treatment is required.  She is doing better in the rehab facility for now. I hope to return to a somewhat normal routine.  Thanks for visiting!

Red, white and blue . . .

I wonder . . . is it wrong, strange, ironic, or in any way remarkable to use English transfer-ware
in U. S. Independence Day themes?  Just saying . . .

Tanager

I believe these are Summer Tanagers.
Notice the female on the same branch as the male in this last shot.
All of these photos are heavily cropped.

The Tanagers are all over the place at
Joe Wheeler State Park Golf Course
Rogersville, Alabama, U. S. A.

Inevitable

All things must end.
The Azaleas were full of blooms this year. The ground underneath is completely covered now that the blooms have fallen.
