Mossy oak and a fence

Natchez, Mississippi didn't have the huge masses of moss dripping off trees like you see in Louisiana
(or at least I didn't find any),
but Natchez did have plenty of fences

What a lovely shadowed walkway along that wonderful fence! Reminds me of Charleston, SC.
Love the shadows as well.

That is moss? How neat to see that, living in the North country you don't see that at least I never have. Pretty fence too.

What a pretty view. I like the fence and the shadows on the sidewalk. I've never seen moss hanging from a tree.

I love the dappled light along the pathway. Hanging moss is new to me - it's very pretty. There are so many different textures going on there, from hard black metal through to soft moss, with the lines drawing me ever deeper into the photograph. Beautiful.

I love wrought iron fences. They remind me of the line in the poem " When I am an old Woman I shall wear Purple" that goes "And run my stick along the public railings."

I recall my brothers doing that when we were young.
They could get quite a sound from that stick and those railings.

I love wrought iron fences. I visited a plantation in Louisiana recently and they keep the Spanish moss off the live oak trees because it becomes infested with chiggers which fall onto the visitors at the plantation, causing much agony in the days to come after their visit!
