The upstairs hallway of Baer House Inn in Vicksburg, Mississippi was as beautiful as the main floor.
(You hoped thought I had forgotten about Mississippi, didn't you)
We were told that the lady who built the house had this made for her clothes.
She would open up the cabinet doors and also the front and back doors on this floor to air out her clothes.
You can see the door to the second floor front porch.
(I wonder if that vent in the center of the cabinet near the floor is the ventilation return for the modern central units)

This door goes to the second floor veranda.
Beautiful from any viewpoint.

The lady of the house had quite a few things to wear, me thinks! How did she decide what she would wear every day?
Love all that beautiful old wood. Lovely place!
That's quite the place! It's amazing the difference between how things were built then and how they are now. Beautiful interior!

This is such a beautiful house. I'm so glad the owners are sharing it with guest.
I love built-ins an would certainly copy this closet in my house if I had the space.
Your last shot would have been a perfect addition to Friday Photo a few weeks ago when their theme was "stairs."
