Scorpion and dark skies

Lincoln County Fair, Fayetteville, Tennessee
2010

All you mid-westerners are posting shots from fairs and carnivals, so I had to get in on the action.
Fairs in these parts are not until late September, early October so here is one from a couple of years ago.
I didn't think they would come out, but high ISO and lots of noise reduction made them acceptable.

One day I will (or maybe not) lug the tripod and get a Ferris Wheel motion shot.

Hi Amy, Great photo of the fair--with those dark clouds around... Good coloring!!!!!

After being on a blogging break for a week, I'm not beginning to try to catch up a little... Hope you have had a good week.

Hugs,
Betsy

Love this! Yes, it's waaay too hot to tolerate carnivals in our Southern climate. October is soon enough. I'm not a tripod person either and I suppose I should try to bring my photography to a higher level, but ...

I love that shot and how it is tilted, it adds to the picture. By the beginning of October the snow could be flying!! Laura

Oh I so agree....I am getting very envious of everyones' fair and carnival shots! Ours start around the same time as yours. I will have to remember to mark my fridge for a photo shoot. I love this shot. What were the settings for it?

Great shot. Makes me wish we had gone to the fair this year. I love the neon lights and all the noise that comes with the crowds.

I know I'm a bit different. Some might even say strange when it comes to the noise.
