Is this rural?
We were amazed at the storms when we visited Arizona and Nevada in 2006.
I suppose the storms are no different than what we have, but
the amazing thing to us was seeing the whole storm from miles and miles away.
This was taken between the Las Vegas airport and Hoover Dam.
The storm may actually be in California.

This makes me homesick for my days in Arizona!
oh, i hope to see Arizona one day soon. looks like a scary storm is a-coming. a brewing! (:
I absolutely loved the storms in Arizona when we lived there. We lived at the foot of the Huachuca mountains and the lighting over the mountains was an absolute light show. I think it's a rural photo ;)
Wow, talk about a dramatic sky! This looks like something out of a movie. Love the drama, colors, and desert scape.
every part of the country has their own unique weather...great storm shot....scary
I've only been to Arizona, once and I loved it - but I didn't get to see a storm like that! Amazing photo!
Great! I just wonder how far you can see in this photo.
That's a beautiful shot, Amy!
When I used to spend a lot of time in Chattanooga and Knoxville, I always thought it was so flat around here and that doesn't even compare to the west! LOL!
Great capture. Takes me back to 2007 when the Old Salt and I were married in Nevada. But, we did not quite make it to vegas.
Sure wish we would get something like this here. Sure need the rain.
Yep, that would be rural! Lol.
A great shot that really shows the big picture -- Thank you for sharing at Rural Thursdays this week. xo
Quite dramatic, especially over the arid landscape.
This reminds me of our trips out west, watching the storm approach in the distance and lightening shows against the mountains.
That is a beautiful shot! I was amazed someone actually decided to put Las Vegas in that desolate place, but then I realized there is beauty within the desolation.
Lovely photo, Amy! Look at that sky!
We had quite a storm again today! The AZ monsoon season (I understand it's all over the SW) is such a dramatic time! Great photo!
I love being in the wide open west where you can see for miles and see the 'whole' picture so to speak... love this shot!
