A week after visiting Belfast, we visited the Parthenon.
Both in Tennessee, U. S. A.
This Parthenon is in Centennial Park, Nashville, Tennessee.
Hubby and I spent a couple of days there this weekend.
I do not know if the tiny lady in front is having disco fever, aspires to be a Greek goddess,
or is just pointing.

she shows just how big the place is...
Wow, I didn't know this existed so I'm so glad you've shared this.
Awesome shot under a beautiful sky!
What neat places to visit, great shot!
Good grief, the U.S.A. has London Bridge AND the Parthenon. :-) That is a beautiful photo! I think you're right about the disco fever. I believe she has too many clothes and/or limbs to be a Greek goddess.
That's an awesome shot with the blue sky and clouds in the background! I had no idea something like this existed, either. I laughed at the woman - I'm going with disco fever! :-)
She's gettin her disco on, huh?!
Beautiful structure, very majestic! =)
That is one massive building...wow!! You have captured this beautifully!!
Great picture - Have not been there in years. She is posing for your photo. :D
Don't think I have every had a pluot before Your fence and forest pictures looks like nice place to take a walk.
Have a great week.
Great photo! I didn't know Tennessee had a Parthenon.
Those are pluots in your previous post. I have had them but I didn't recognize them!
Looks like a perfect day for touring such a grand building.
Wonderful capture that brings back long ago memories. I remember our visiting here more thirty odd years ago when my daughter was a child.
This is certainly a beautiful building and a great way to teach children about history
I didn't know we had such a Greek-inspired structure in the U.S. of this size. What a lovely shot with the blue sky, white puffy clouds and green grass. Plus you got a disco dancer in front! Haha.
Wow what a great photo! Looks like a beautiful place to visit!
Wow, the Parthenon and the Grand Old Opry too? First of all I was amazed that I had never even heard of this, but then I was equally amazed that neither had many of the other commenters. I'm glad to know that maybe I don't live under a rock after all!
Great shot, love it!
That really is a stunning building isn't it? The wee lady at the front really puts it in perspective. :)
Very cool that this Parthenon is in Tennessee!
The next best thing to seeing the "real" one. Wonderful shot, Amy.
Nashville, the Athens of the South. I love this place! I visit every time I visit my son. We get food to go and have lunch on the grounds. I even used the Parthenon as a scene in the novel I'm currently writing. It's a great place to find a dead body, don't you think? lol
