my parents and aunts and uncles are all buried there, some inside the gate and some in the new part... it is a lovely old place to wander with all the trees and on the river bank. my kids were raised playing on the river bank there

Wondering if that massive fence is the cemetery fence or just to mark that plot? Either way it's vintage and lovely!

Oddly, the name,HITCH,makes this a very romantic photo for me. No doubt, it is because I LOVE the movie that goes by this name. Add the southern ambiance of the moss covered trees and you have a perfect cemetary.

I love the patina of old cemeteries. I like the way you framed the photo to include the colorful flag.

Charming cemetery. Loved the moss hanging from the trees, the sturdy concrete fencing and the nice spot of color with the American flag.

My dream is to go to Bonaventure. You made me check the mileage from here to Vicksburg - now I gotta check to Savannah. More than a day trip I suspect!

My daughter and I went there and loved wandering around. Wish I could go back now that I have a better camera!

Quite an ornamental monument and a lovely setting. I have wanted to visit Savannah for quite some time yet the plans just haven't worked out. Keeping my hopes up, though! :)

Thanks for stopping by to comment on my fences.

I shall have to look at our local cemeteries - bu I doubt I will find a scene as impressive as this.
