Once again, I post something very old and beautiful that is definitely not rubbish.
Old Sheldon Church Ruins, near Beaufort, South Carolina.
I have included the Wikipedia link, but I recommend Googling it as there are several other informative sites about the ruins.

Oh my goodness! That must have been an amazing church in its day, Amy. Wonderful photos!
wow! looks almost castle-like!
Those photos of that old church is so amazing. I loved looking at all of them. On another note, I have a son in Athens, Ala. Used to live in Jasper myself. So, we have that in common.
I had no idea anything like this existed in the States! Wow!
A very nice post on the churches. uSch grand structures.
I love the low country!
How beautiful!
Beautiful. Sorry we missed it when we were in Beaufort!
WOW...looks like something right out of a Gothic novel. Awesome photos!
Absolutely not rubbish. Wow, what a beautiful place that is, I'd love to wander about there as well!
That must have been a great looking church long time ago.
But the ruins along with those old big trees give it alot of charm :)
Have a fine day

Wow, extraordinary. I love how you framed the first image in the tree with the spanish moss and all.
Beautiful photo shots Amy and Happy Wordless Wednesday my friend.
You're right, it is definitely not rubbish. But it is beautiful. What's with all this burning, anyway. I know. All is fair in love and war, but really...a church??
Oh my! How gorgeous! Love this beautiful old ruin...too bad it was partially destroyed. You ought to link up with it to InSPIREd Sunday! You can find it through Elizardbreath Speaks.
How sad that this church was destroyed. The ruin is truly beautiful though and I love the photo with the old and gnarly tree limb across it. Beautiful photos.
wow! I have been to Beaufort several time and never knew that was there.
I will look for it next time!!
What a great place for photography! I love the moss dripping off the trees. Makes me want to live deeper in the south!
