Rurality Number One

Near Lynnville, Tennessee, U. S. A.
November 2012

Lots of rurality here.  I remember stopping here because of the donkey, but he/she didn't appreciate it and walked away from the fence.  Looking for something for Madge's new theme I decided this is a worthy shot.  I think my husband actually took the photo.  He is not into photography whatsoever, but will indulge me from his passenger role on occasion.  "Papa drives, Mama rides" has been reversed the last few months.  (I'll update Husband News soon.)

Having been uninspired and uninterested in picture taking the last few weeks, I am hoping that getting in on the first week of a brand new theme will get me out of my rut.

Wow - for someone not into photography - he composed a beautiful show. It's just like a donkey to turn it's back - he kind of made me laugh. :-)

How I would hate to have to mow those hills in Tennessee! They are beautiful but always my first thought whenever we took the boys to Nashville. Glad to see a new rural theme. I miss Rural Thursday.

Love that 'Papa drives, Mamma rides.' How true that is of us, even though I LOVE driving and drive for a living...lol! Hope all is okay with your husband... Love this rural scene. I find it so interesting that often views in the mountains of the Blue Ridge, looks so much like the Northwest. Perhaps that's why my dad's family (from northwestern NC in the mtsn.) moved to western OR in the 1920s. Thank you for joining in 'Rurality Blog Hop #1' Hope to see you next Wednesday for #2...

That is a lovely pastoral scene. What a great first submission to the new blog meme!

Sometimes donkeys can be so nonchalant. This is a rather pretty scene and I'll bet in the spring it's extra-special. Maybe by that time that donkey will be in a better mood!

P.S. It's ironic that I chose a donkey pic today also. I too have been too busy and uninspired but I'm hoping as spring springs up just a bit more that will change.

Amy, that's a great photo! My husband indulges me as we're driving along. I'm always saying "Stop! Turn around." :)
Have a great weekend ~Anne

Oh, I like this...reminds me of places in east Tennessee, too.

I have been checking back to see if husband news had been updated since we last emailed...I hope he is feeling better and able to eat a bit more as these days pass by.
