Colbert County Courthouse, Tuscumbia, Alabama, U. S. A.
The beautiful building and skies get most of the credit here, but I have to put in a plug for the iPhone5 again.
While I don't have plans to visit each county courthouse in Alabama, I do like the old ones. If you do like seeing courthouses and the architecture please visit my friend,
She has a goal of capturing all the historic courthouses in Texas.

What a beautiful old building. There is such charm in that architecture. Our county tore down their [perfectly good] beautiful old court house years ago and built a very utilitarian squareish building. Makes me feel like I'm in the [former] Soviet Union (and not St. Basil's).
i thought i had landed on Kathy's blog when it opened, wow what a building and woo hoo for the iphone... i love Kathy to
This is a beauty I wish we had in Texas. Right up my alley. Thanks for the recognition. Just one small correction. I'm not out to photograph ALL the courthouses in Texas - after all, there's 254 of them and the state is almost a thousand miles from east to west and another like distance north to south. My project is to photograph the historic Texas courthouses which are still standing (somewhere around 75), most of them constructed in the late 1880s.
The new monstrosities aren't worth a second look!
That's a beautiful building and really stands out against the blue sky.
I have seen some of the courthouses that Kathy has photographed.
I cannot wait to upgrade to the iphone 5! Although my 4S takes great landscape shots, too. This is really wonderful, Amy.
awesome building. i love all the details. ( :
Courthouses are interesting, especially the historic ones. Several years ago (before digital) I photographed about 85 out of Indiana's 92. After awhile I could guess the age of the architecture within just a few years.
This one looks wonderfully maintained. Nice job!
Such a beautiful photo, Amy! Love the white and blue....it's majestic looking :)
That's a gorgeous building and photo! Great iPhone shot!
What a beautiful building. They don't build them like that any more.
Such an amazing courthouse. Looks like a lot of history here!
Wonderful shot! The sky is a beautiful backdrop.
It is a beautiful old building...I love old courthouses.
