Blueberries

The blueberries are almost ready.

This photo is from last year, but the same holds true right here and now.  Last year we had a bumper crop.  I gave them away, and still have bags in the freezer.  There does not look like as many on the bushes this year.  I'm kinda glad.

I admit I would like a few. These look like works of art.

I think I understand your feelings about not having a bumper crop this year. I'm hoping the same thing about our apple tree!

Amy, I would gladly take some blueberries off your hands if I lived closer. :)

I am still praying for you.

Mine are ready too- I have been enjoying having fresh blueberries. This is the first year that they have really done well. Have good evening!

What a pretty photo! I have some blue berries in the fridge now that I need to eat in the next couple of days or put in the freezer.
Enjoy the weekend.

Young blueberries look like they're frosted! We have several blueberry farms near here, one just about 15 minutes down the road where you can pick your own for $1.50 a pound. Now that's a bargain!

Ah, they look wonderful, just before they turn blue and the birds get them... at least here they do, but I have only three plants and they do not thrive. :-( Up near Duluth there are wild ones all over.

Dear Amy, I've been meaning to write and see how you're doing. I know losing a partner is incredibly hard, and my thoughts are with you. Sadly, we lost our eldest son a week after your husband died. He was a water bomber pilot, and died fighting a forest fire in northern Alberta. We have been devastated, and it will take a long time to figure out how to move on. But I do find that blogging and photography (and reading blogs I follow) helps me a lot. So I know a little of what you're going through, and wish you the best every day. I'd give you a big hug if I could! When you've suffered grief like this a hug from a perfect stranger seems welcome. Take care and know that I am thinking of you.
