Perched

Robins are plentiful at our place, as they are everywhere else, I'm sure.  They have built a nest on the support underneath our deck and with a flashlight I can see pretty little blue eggs through the crack between planks.  They are always perched close by, and it is easy to get some fairly close shots.  So . . . I have a ton of photos of Robins.  And I can't tell a male from a female.

I think this one has an injured foot.

Really nice captures Amy. It does look like this robin has a crippled foot. We had a chickadee here once with it's foot like that. I think the male robin has a redder breast but you can't really tell unless it's standing beside a female. Have a great day.

Super photos of a bird we all love. Hope you'll be witness to the 'flying lessons' of the little ones ... I always enjoy seeing those.

Very nice pictures of the Robin! We seem to have an abundance of them here this year. My husband took a photo in the field at his work place recently and said there had to be at least 100 Robins! Never have seen such a thing before.

Thanks for your visit and comment on my fences.

He's quite a handsome robin, especially perched on that beautiful white fence. Yes, we have tons of them. Robins, sparrows, grackles, and starlings. I can't seem to get other varieties to show up at the feeders.
