What's left of an old (actually, not that old) granary. It burned several years ago not too very long after it was built. It's pretty interesting . . . and creepy. I would like to get closer.
It's on the Elk River in Limestone County, Alabama.
There are condos built right next to it.

It is an interesting shape. Like the rusty framwork, too. Well done! Thanks for linking up!
This would be a fascinating place to explore! I love places like this.
how neat!
They say fire safety around granaries is a top priority. That scaffolding next to the silo is tall.
Have never seen a granary quite like that before! At first glance, the first image almost appears as a rock wall with a doorway built into it. (I haven't had my coffee yet.) :D The setting is beautiful and I love how the vines are growing on it.
Looks like you captured a bit of the scaffolding shadow on the mountain, as well. Obviously, the scaffolding has been there quite a while.
These are excellent captures!

how very funky!!!
I agree with Georgette. Granaries are like magnets to fires.
Oh, I wish you could get closer...I love it!
I've never seen a dome for a granary before. Interesting structures but you'd think they'd take them down. And yes, it's creepy looking. lol
Great photos... The dome shaped granary is really interesting... Needs to have a part in a novel and then movie.
I didn't expect it to be a dome like that. Very cool!
What a great structure.A closer look would be sooo cool!
What an interesting looking building. I like these shots very much.
