Christmastime Church

A historic church building in my town.

Every year in December there is an "Old Fashioned Christmas" celebration with some activities taking place at this historic church building.  Would you believe that I have never been?

The above is a rendering of the old building painted by my mother.

Wow, Amy. We have an almost identical church not too far from us in Hornitos, CA. Hornitos is a semi-ghost town with only a couple hundred residents now, many of whom live and work on surrounding ranches.

Visiting our church, St. Catherine of Sienna is a real please what with its still functioning gas fixtures and no electricity and pioneer graveyard in the back. I love visiting there and have done so on several occasions.

I wondered if you had photographed that church as I passed by it the other day! It always looks so nice at Christmastime with the simple lights and decorations. Nice photos and painting.
