i love memories. i wonder if you have an old photo of it some where in your collection? i always seem to find one in mine ... of things i think are gone & they are just way into my collection. maybe try not to think on it to hard & i bet you will recall soon enough. have you ever seen "Home Alone" there was statue near the front steps & the pizza guy always would hit it. maybe a similar type of thing happened to the horse? i wonder? (:
I remember one that had an old piano on the front porch at least I think that's what it was. This pic also reminds me of the lonely chimneys that remain standing long after the house is gone.
I can imagine a stately Victorian standing there at one time or perhaps a prairies style four square. Are there signs that a new house will replace it? The trees are beautiful and it would be a wonderful building lot.

Always sad to see steps/sidewalk left behind from a long ago house.
it is a beautiful photo, and makes me a little sad to see the steps to nowhere on such a beautiful lot.

It's sad to see steps and sidewalks leading to nowhere. I hope the image of the house will pop into your head someday.
That is a beautiful photo, Amy. Maybe someone could build there again one day.
Lovely fall photo, but sad the house is gone from such a beautiful setting.
Sad to see that, isn't it? I also hate seeing chimneys standing without homes!!!! Something is missing for sure.
Hugs,
Betsy
