Green

I believe these are called hedge apples.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Isn't the green pretty?

Fallen II

Deanna made me do it.

Use my favorite macro lens, that is.

I hadn't used it in a while.

It is still my favorite lens!

Thanks, Deanna, for reminding me!!!
See Deanna's post here.

"Likker"

Taken through a chain-link fence which was temporarily installed around the riverwalk area in downtown Nashville in August of this year.  There was a BBQ contest going on and you had to pay to get in.  We were too cheap to pay to walk around and sample bar-b-que, so we just peered through the fence like outsiders.

Marvin "Popcorn" Sutton was a moonshiner in Tennessee.  He claimed to make the best $%@&* "likker" anyone had ever tasted.

I would have liked to have seen Grand Funk Railroad, but we were leaving too early on the Saturday.  And, on Friday night, The Fabulous Thunderbirds might have gotten our money, but 9 p.m. is pretty much our bedtime even on a weekend outing.
I know, I know, pathetic.

Courtesy of a friend of mine.  I believe this was in east Tennessee.  Her hubby gets photo credit. :)
Thanks!

Now we know how these huge modules of cotton get to the gin.

Piece a' cake

Off to the cotton gin.

Use my "cotton" label for the rest of the story.

Missing

There was a house at the end of this sidewalk when I was young.
I wish I could remember what it looked like.
