Cairo to Shanghai

I've been around the world again.  And all in an afternoon.

Cairo and Shanghai are just a few miles apart.

Our ancestors did a little "borrowing" of place names when they settled this land. I get a kick of traveling through some of these places here in Texas too. I went to Italy a couple of weeks ago.

I think I would prefer Shanghai, you get a free meal there. ;)

we met some people from Florida, Massachusetts.. they said we are from Florida and started laughing. talk about borrowing names. I checked to see if they were for real and there it is on the map, but barely. 500 is the population.

Interesting how the same place names pop up all over the world.

You sure do get around, Amy! We saw a church sign in MS the other day that said "Read the bible. It'll scare the hell out of you!"

haha! Nice connection with the signs!

Lots of fun...I'm going to have to pay attention to all the signs in town now. Hope I find some as humorous/interesting as yours!

What interesting names, I'd expect perhaps Siloh Baptist Church...

Just ten minutes from me is the town of Krakow and a short hop from there is the town of Japan.

Not quite the same as getting a blessing and a meal but odd all the same.
