Sunflowers

I planted sunflowers this year.  Some of them are red and orange.
All of them are gorgeous.

I have been sporadic with the blog the past few weeks.  Just as my husband finished more chemo for the cancer that spread, my elderly mother fell and fractured her pelvis.  He is feeling much better and the hope is that he can have a substantial break before more treatment is required.  She is doing better in the rehab facility for now. I hope to return to a somewhat normal routine.  Thanks for visiting!

Oh Amy, what a trial you've been through! I do hope your husband does get a break from all the therapy. And I hope your mother can get relief from her pain.

Your sunflowers are just beautiful. I especially love that second shot.

Prayers for you mom and your husband. I am glad he is feeling better. My mom fell a couple of weeks ago, right on her face..she was off in Indiana visiting my dad's sister. It could have been a lot worse, so thankful she didn't break anything. Your sunflowers are gorgeous.

I bet you can't find one person who doesn't like sunflowers. They're so bright and cheery, you can't help but smile when looking at them!

I was wondering about your mom just the other day. Sorry she has suffered such a horrific injury but I'm glad your guy is having some good days.

I'm sure being able to take some photographs while going through so much is a bit therapeutic for you. They're lovely, by the way.

Wishing your husband and mom well wishes. Y'all are in my prayers.

Goodness Amy - as my mother used to say, "When it rains, it pours." Thank you for telling me about your use of the Lumix 2. I am actually considering the Lumix GX7 or the Olympus M1 or M5. I'm also looking into the Sony full frame mirrorless, though I think that may be bulkier than I want. I looked at your photo feed - glorious snaps, but I assume none are from the Lumix? I've read some pro blogs where they're using the 4/3 format with good lenses, and they are getting quality photos though perhaps with less DOF. I find myself using the DSLR less when I'm active because it's so heavy -especially with my zoom. For example, tomorrow I'm doing a long hike with friends and will use the Cybershot which is easier to carry. Anyway, I appreciate your response and have loved viewing your photography. I wish your family well.
