I feel like I've moved to an exotic locale since I've been noticing all of these colorful birds right in my back yard.

Some of the neighbors are not very happy sharing their feeder with him.

The Granary

What's left of an old (actually, not that old) granary.  It burned several years ago not too very long after it was built.  It's pretty interesting . . . and creepy.  I would like to get closer.

It's on the Elk River in Limestone County, Alabama.

There are condos built right next to it.

Perched

Robins are plentiful at our place, as they are everywhere else, I'm sure.  They have built a nest on the support underneath our deck and with a flashlight I can see pretty little blue eggs through the crack between planks.  They are always perched close by, and it is easy to get some fairly close shots.  So . . . I have a ton of photos of Robins.  And I can't tell a male from a female.

I think this one has an injured foot.

Barn revival

I call this "the Home Depot barn" because you can only see it from the Home Depot parking lot in Pulaski, Tennessee.
